For Therapists

Hello Fellow Therapists (or, clients who have found themselves here).

With permission from its author, I have included what I consider a very good paper that appeared in the UK Adlerian Yearbook, 2015. I was exposed to this way of viewing the individual during my 12-month internship at the Adler Centre in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Although its author writes well after the death of Alfred Alder (1870-1937), and the ideas in the paper perhaps can be considered post-Adlerian, I believe that it remains absolutely grounded in the ideas and ideals that Adler himself put forward.

May it serve you as it does me—as a first-line mechanism for case conceptualizations.

I hope you enjoy it!
